Dream Big at Dreamers: The Marbella Club Legend Returns

I can’t believe the original Dreamers Club closed in 2011 – that’s 7 years ago. It doesn’t feel that long at all …. perhaps ‘cos I’m getting older or perhaps because all the other clubs that have attempted to take its place just couldn’t live up to the challenge. Let’s face it, whether you like it or not, Dreamers is one of Marbella’s most historically iconic clubs. It took Marbs by storm at the beginning of the millennium, with electronic, house and techno on the decks and parties from dusk ‘til dawn. Reopened this July with a “select” timetable only for significant events, the line-up features some big names in the music industry and tickets are selling like hotcakes.

The return of the best music events at Dreamers Club

Founder Michael Keijzer had a clear vision for Dreamers Club, to always “dream big”. To provide Marbella with a venue that featured the world’s biggest and best DJs. And he certainly lived up to this. Legends such as David Guetta, Avicii (RIP), Tiestö, Armin van Buuren, Bob Sinclair, Carl Cox, Erick Morillo and Luciano (to name but a few) have all performed live for sold-out audiences in the club. And now that Dreamers is back, it’s keeping the vision alive.

The line-up is definitely a reflection of what “clubbing-age” crowds want (I feel even older now…), lots of Reggaeton, lots of R‘n’B, rap etc. and for old times’ sake, some big electronic names too.  Tyga was a sold-out show, the Martinez Brothers rammed to the rafters, and tickets are selling fast for upcoming events with Eric Morillo, on Thursday 2nd August and Jason Derulo on Tuesday 7th.

So whether it’s just for the experience of stepping into a venue that literally transformed the clubbing scene in Marbella, for partying yourself silly just because you need to or for going to watch your favourite DJ or musical performer live in action and up so close, make sure Dreamers is in your diary this August. Catch the dream before it can end again…….
